From the estate to your table
Vega Sicilia has been making wine in Valbuena de Duero since 1864. Valbuena 5º carries that heritage through five years of maturation in oak and bottle, bringing a patient approach to Ribera del Duero.
Choose it for a meal you want to take your time over: a little Manchego, a carefully cooked main course and time to explore the wine as it opens in the glass. It also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who enjoys discovering Spanish wine.
The Castilla y León setting
Ribera del Duero follows the Duero across the high plateau of Castilla y León. Vineyards rise from around 720 metres to over 1,000 metres, where dry summers, long cold winters and marked temperature changes create a demanding setting for growing grapes.
Wine has been part of this landscape for more than 2,500 years. Today, the river connects vineyard villages across Burgos, Valladolid, Soria and Segovia — a region to discover through its wines, its food and the patient work behind each bottle.

The craft
Five years, thoughtfully paced
Its name reflects five years of maturation across oak and bottle. French and American wood support the wine, with the blend adjusted to each vintage.
